Assistant Company Secretary

Leading Insurance Group have a one year contract opportunity for the role of Assistant Company Secretary, hybrid working two days per week in the Dublin City Centre office. As Assistant Company Secretary, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the smooth functioning of the boards of directors and board committees.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating and managing meetings, including drafting agendas and preparing meeting papers.
  • Providing expert guidance on corporate governance, statutory, and regulatory requirements to internal stakeholders.
  • Completing ad-hoc company secretarial tasks as required.
  • Collaborating with Board and Committee Chairs to develop meeting agendas.
  • Accurately minuting meetings and managing follow-up actions.
  • Providing support to the Company Secretary and Legal teams on governance-related activities.
  • Ensuring statutory compliance and maintaining statutory records.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Law or ICSA/Corporate Governance qualification.
  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the financial services sector.
  • CBI Reporting experience is required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commercial acumen and ability to multitask under tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Diligent software or other board portals is desirable.
