Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

Leading Irish Group are hiring for a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to join their team and lead the financial planning and analysis function on a permanent basis, this position is hybrid working in the Wicklow office.

As the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving the financial strategy and supporting the overall strategic direction of the Forest division. You will lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, provide financial analysis and guidance, and develop reporting to support decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the division's strategy, providing financial analysis and guidance on all activities, plans, and targets.
  • Lead the annual business planning and budgeting process, ensuring alignment with divisional and group objectives.
  • Prepare rolling forecasts and 5-year plans, highlighting key threats and opportunities.
  • Develop regular reporting and analysis, including variance analysis and key metric reports.
  • Identify and analyse under performing areas of the business, driving process improvement and implementing new tools to support planning processes.
  • Provide financial modelling and analysis expertise to business partners within the division.
  • Manage financial processes around forestry partnerships.
  • Foster strong working relationships with divisional and group finance teams.
  • Create a culture of high performance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Act as a visible role model for the organisation's values and provide support to the Head of Finance and finance team as required.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience, preferably with commercial exposure.
  • Experience in people management and team leadership.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, with the ability to provide strategic insights.
  • Excellent organisational and planning abilities, with a focus on driving team performance.
  • Proven track record of continuous development and improvement initiatives.
