Global Procurement Director Real Estate, Construction & Asset Management

  • You will :
  • Be establishing & developing a Global Procurement Function for Real Estate, Construction & Asset Mgt.
  • Create a team of direct reports in the US & Europe.
  • Oversee the build of 500 new stations, remodelling some sites in portfolio of 14,000.
  • Manage an annual spend of 1 Billion USD CAPEX inc. office facilities, fuel terminals & fleet.
  • Manage all phases of procurement for these categories in the US & Europe.
  • Establish relationships with key internal s/holders & drive change across categories.
  • Develop relationships with primary vendor partners; bring regional best-practice across N.America & Europe.
  • Develop, oversee, & facilitate purchasing strategy, supervise purchasing, operations & logistics teams in this category.
  • RESPONSIBILITIES - You will : -
  • Negotiate large scale complex supply, & non‐retail contracts.
  • Deliver additional procurement synergies for the company network, derived primarily from standardise efforts, exploiting unleveraged scale opportunities, consolidating vendor partners, challenging current business models & technologies.
  • Provide strategic & tactical category guidance on key categories based on marked trends, int/external best practices, & company performance objectives.
  • Establish cross‐functional teams to diagnose, quantify & address regional, national‐level opportunities & alternative revenue sources.
  • Unite company’s autonomous business units around common value‐enhancing principles, new program offerings, & relevant macro‐level opportunities.
  • Establish & maintain effective, efficient communications with senior mgt.
  • Lead the upscale of successful regional programs to multinational & global level status.
  • Support establishing benchmarks, performance markers & objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s in Business, Econ etc.
  • Min of 10 years of procurement, commercial, & contract management experience.
  • Have held senior leadership role in real estate, construction, & facilities mgt/maintenance - ideally retail.
  • Have a documented track record of wins of large-scale commercial value in real estate, construction, & maintenance.

  • Excellent leadership, guiding others
  • Natural networker & int/externally.
  • Relationship building with internal stakeholders & mgt. at global level.
  • Balance competing priorities & deadlines; multitasking & organisational skills.
  • Exceptional oral & written skills, for wide range of int/external stakeholders.
  • Advanced on MS Office with Ariba etc.
  • Self-driven & track record of execution.
  • Willing to work with global time-zones & embrace travel required.
