Programme Executive - (BER) Operations

Location: Dublin, Cork, Dundalk or Sligo (2 days in office on site)

Contract: 12‑month fixed term contract

Salary: €52,546 per annum (non‑negotiable)

About the Role

Sanderson have an exciting opportunity for a Programme Executive to join a Building Energy Rating (BER) Operations Team within a technical department responsible for national BER scheme delivery. The BER Operations Team ensures the delivery of a high‑quality, right‑first‑time BER service, overseeing assessor competence, quality assurance, customer experience and day‑to‑day scheme operations. Reporting to the BER Operations Programme Manager, you will support the effective delivery of a regulatory function and contribute to continuous improvement across processes, systems and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the effectiveness of the BER Quality Assurance (QA) framework, ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations
  • Manage QA process updates and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Review, maintain and update QA documentation and operational resources
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver BER programme objectives
  • Work closely with IT partners and BER Software & Systems colleagues to maintain and enhance QA systems & deliver key QA‑related projects
  • Support departmental activity peaks through flexibility in working hours when required

Essential Skills & Experience

  • An ordinary degree (NFQ Level 7 or higher) in Engineering, Business, Quality, Project Management or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years' directly relevant experience in engineering, project management or business process environments (A Master's degree may substitute for 1 year of experience)
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Management principles
  • Experience in multi‑disciplinary teams & managing projects with diverse stakeholders
  • Proven project management capability, including managing time, scope, risk, cost and quality
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, including data analysis proficiency
  • Well‑developed IT skills and experience working with systems and digital tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Work independently, manage deadlines and prioritise effectively

Desirable Experience & Skills

  • Experience with CRM systems, UAT testing, APIs and user‑story tools (e.g. Azure DevOps)
  • Experience in business process design and change management
  • Strong customer‑centric mindset with experience delivering positive customer outcomes
  • Project Management certification or formal training
  • Understanding of Irish and EU energy policy, BER methodology
