Deputy Head of Human Resources

Deputy Head of People & Culture | Dublin | Hybrid

Sanderson is partnering with its national voluntary organisation cliant to hire a Deputy Head of People & Culture to lead HR Operations, Employee Engagement, and Workforce Development. This role will strengthen HR processes, enhance the employee experience, and deliver key elements of our People & Culture strategy.

What You'll Do

• Lead and develop the People & Culture team across HR operations, engagement, and learning.
• Improve HR workflows, systems, and data to ensure strong governance and compliance.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning.
• Manage payroll, benefits, reward frameworks, and statutory compliance.
• Drive employee engagement, wellbeing initiatives, EDI activities, and internal communications.
• Support organisation-wide learning and development priorities.

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years' HR experience with senior operational responsibility.
• Strong leadership capability and experience developing HR teams.
• Excellent knowledge of Irish employment law, GDPR, and HR governance.
• Skilled in HR systems, reporting, and process improvement.
• Third‑level qualification in HR, Business, or related area.

Desirable

• CIPD chartered membership.
• Experience in change management or the non‑profit sector.
• Understanding of trauma‑informed practice.
