Assistant Accountant

Sanderson are partnering with a leading multinational company based in North Dublin who are seeking an ambitious Assistant Accountant to join its growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated part‑qualified accountant to gain exposure to a global environment while continuing their professional studies.

About the Role
The Assistant Accountant will support the finance function across general ledger activities, month‑end processes, and financial reporting. Working within a collaborative and fast‑paced multinational environment, you'll gain hands‑on experience and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with month‑end and year‑end close activities.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support the preparation of management accounts and financial reports.
• Maintain accurate financial records in line with internal controls and accounting standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across the organisation.
• Assist with internal and external audit requirements.
• Use SAP for daily accounting tasks, reporting, and analysis.
• Contribute to process improvements within the finance function.

Requirements:

• Part qualified accountant ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent and actively studying toward full qualification.
• 2-3 years' experience in a similar accounting role.
• Experience working within a multinational organisation.
• SAP experience is essential.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
