General Ledger Accountant

Sanderson are partnering with a global, industry‑leading multinational based in North Dublin is seeking a General Ledger Accountant to join its expanding finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail‑oriented accounting professional to contribute to a high‑performing organisation with strong international operations.

About the Role
The General Ledger Accountant will play a key role in the month‑end close process, financial reporting, and maintaining the integrity of the general ledger. Working within a collaborative finance team, you'll support both local and global stakeholders while benefiting from a flexible hybrid working structure.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger activities including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes.
• Prepare and review financial reports in line with internal and external requirements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across the organisation.
• Assist with audit preparation and respond to auditor queries.
• Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements within the finance function.
• Use SAP for daily financial operations, reporting, and analysis.

About You

• The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced multinational environment.

Requirements:

• Fully Qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Strong general ledger and financial accounting experience.
• SAP experience is essential.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team culture.
