Sanderson are partnering with a leading multinational company based in North Dublin, who are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join its high‑performing finance function. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and commercially minded professional to take on a key leadership role within a global organisation.
About the Role
The Senior Financial Accountant will play a central part in the financial operations of the business, overseeing a team of six finance professionals and ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely financial reporting. Working in a hybrid model, you'll collaborate closely with both local and international stakeholders, contributing to continuous improvement and supporting strategic decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of six finance staff, fostering a culture of high performance and collaboration.
- Manage month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes.
- Prepare and review financial statements in line with relevant accounting standards.
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, journals, and general ledger activities.
- Partner with internal teams and global finance colleagues to support business initiatives.
- Drive process improvements and efficiencies across the finance function.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and corporate policies.
- Utilise SAP for reporting, analysis, and financial operations.
About You
- The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and the confidence to operate in a dynamic multinational environment.
Requirements:
- Qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years' post‑qualification experience in a similar financial accounting role.
- Proven people management experience, ideally leading small teams.
- Experience working in a fast paced Multinational company
- Strong working knowledge of SAP is essential.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team culture.
