Financial Controller - Part Time

Sanderson are partnering with a consultancy services group for professional service firms to recruit for a Financial Controller.

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Financial Controller to join our team on a part-time basis (3 or 4 days per week). This is an onsite role, working directly with a portfolio of clients across Dublin, providing hands-on financial leadership and strategic support.

You will be responsible for overseeing the finance function for multiple clients, delivering high-quality financial reporting, and acting as a trusted advisor to business owners and senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation and review of monthly management accounts
• Budgeting and forecasting for multiple client businesses
• Cash flow management and financial planning
• People management of small finance teams across client sites
• Providing business advisory services and contributing to strategic decision-making
• Ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards
• Supporting clients with process improvements and financial systems optimisation
• Acting as the key finance contact for client stakeholders

Requirements:

• Qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA, CIMA
• Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience in a similar role
• Strong experience in management accounting, budgeting, and forecasting
• Proven ability to manage and develop small finance teams
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to advise on business strategy
• Comfortable working across multiple client environments
• Full driving license and access to a car essential
