HR Generalist
Sanderson is recruiting for a varied HR Generalist role where your recruitment expertise will support our client's retail operations managers in finding and hiring the best talent. You'll also be a vital part of the HR team, contributing to core activities across onboarding, employee relations, HR reporting, and wellbeing initiatives.
Hybrid 2 days in office 3 days WFH
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Partner with Regional Managers to define job requirements and manage end-to-end recruitment.
- Keep job specs and descriptions up to date.
- Manage the hiring process: screen candidates, issue offers/contracts, perform reference checks, and assist with interviews.
- Promote roles via job boards, social media, and career events.
- Manage the leaver process and conduct exit surveys when needed.
Learning & Development
- Support the delivery of in-house training sessions and webinars (e.g., scheduling, materials, questionnaires).
- Collaborate on the development of a new onboarding programme.
- Monitor compliance with mandatory training.
Employee Relations
- Assist with grievance and disciplinary processes in collaboration with the HR Manager and HR Business Partner.
- Conduct Return to Work assessments.
- Prepare reports and documentation for Occupational Health referrals.
- Maintain policy updates on HR systems.
Wellbeing & Engagement
- Help implement wellbeing initiatives and employee engagement programmes.
- Support the organisation of events such as Long Service Awards and staff celebrations.
HR Reporting & Admin
- Prepare bi-weekly HR clinic reports and manage the daily absence tracker.
- Provide data for the monthly HR board pack.
Skills and Experience
- 3-5 years' experience in an HR role (Generalist or Recruitment focused); CIPD qualification desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with great attention to detail.
- Proactive, self-starter with strong organisational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and quick to learn new systems.
