Tax Manager

Accounting & Finance | Ireland | Contract | € 650 - € 750 

A leading insurance group is seeking a Tax Manager to join their dynamic team in Dublin on a daily rate 6-9 month contract. This role involves managing and overseeing various tax-related functions, including Life, General Insurance, Health, Employment, and VAT. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement, providing flexibility and a balanced work-life environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and laws, including Life, General Insurance, Health, Employment, and VAT.
  • Develop and implement effective tax strategies to optimize tax liabilities and support business objectives.
  • Prepare and review tax returns, reports, and documentation to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Provide expert tax advice to internal stakeholders on various tax matters and implications.
  • Assist with tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Work closely with the tax team to ensure cohesive and comprehensive tax management.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and best practices, and implement improvements as necessary.


Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional tax qualification, CTA or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of experience in tax management, preferably within Insurance or related sector.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
