An Education and Skills survey by the CBI has found that 61% of businesses feel that the self-management skills needed for work are seriously lacking amongst school leavers.

Structural issues within schools were cited as a major factor for the lack of 'employable' school leavers, and whilst this needs to be looked at, I firmly believe that businesses have an important part to play in raising commercial awareness in students and boosting confidence levels.

I was recently interviewed by Bristol Business News on this subject. To read the article, please visit http://www.bristol-business.net/raise-commercial-awareness-in-students-to-raise-confidence-in-future-says-expert.
