Procurement Specialist - Energy

This is a great role for someone with an Engineering degree who wishes to develop their procurement skills Alternatively if you have been working on RFXs & contract development in an Engineering company you could be just what we are looking for.

Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of the role involve...:

  • Provide procurement support & services to a team of engineers
  • Prep. & administration of contractor pre-qualifications RFPs.
  • Prep. of data & administrative requirements
  • Assist with contract prep. & neg’n.
  • Coordinate with procurement, Engineering; & construction teams in prep. of tech. requirements.
  • communicate with in-house teams – Eng., Construction etc.
  • Coordination prep. of project construction schedules.
  • Provide procurement support for due diligence & financial close process.
  • Assist in cost estimating, budget prep., reporting & control for input to budgets & mgt. reports.
  • Updating of procurement documents (drawings, specification, standard, etc.).
  • Evaluate contractor proposals & prep. of recommendation memos.
  • Help with due diligence on project acquisitions in new markets; dev’t. of procurement cost database & technology tracking.
  • Assisting the Procurement Mgr. with updating & maintenance of procurement operating procedures.

Education & Experience

  • Degree in Eng./Science & 2 + years’ work exp.ideally in a relevant industry.
  • Strong project mgt. skill set required Inc. contract mgt., contract administration, scheduling, planning & mgt..
  • Excellent written & oral communications skills and capable of managing internal & external resources.
  • Ability to use Microsoft software - MS Project & SharePoint.
  • There will be some travel to other international locations.
