Strategic Sourcing Consultant -

As a Principal Sourcing Specialist, you will be the go to person for managing tenders from start to finish including the contract delivery.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Taking a lead to support cost savings & revenue generation; hitting business goals through the sourcing process for large spend category areas
  • Know the world of civils or construction, Contractor Mangement; Installations
  • Ideally have an Civil, Construction, engineering or QS background with strong commercial acumen - and have managed budgets.
  • Familiar with installation procedures, practices & standards
  • Driving all aspects of complex strategic sourcing process, including contract negotiations regarding pricing terms & conditions, conducting research & providing benchmark data on pricing
  • Strong analytical skills required to process large & varying types of data to get good results
  • Work with stakeholders to resolve supplier related invoicing issues
  • Contract language interpretation / clarification for dispute resolution (ideally)
  • Managing disputes over contract pricing (i.e. Units / Models)
  • Maximize purchasing power to achieve a lower cost while mitigating risk
  • Take a lead role & work with multiple teams to guide selections of low-cost but highly technically qualified suppliers to provide services

Experience and qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying; Civil engineering Supply Chain, Telcos Engineering, Project Management etc

  • Ideally a Diploma//degree also in from (CIPS), (IACCM) or (IIPMM)
  • Know procurement or Strategic Sourcing, ideally in a technology, construction, infrastructure and managing tenders from start to finish
  • Solve complex problems to ensure business & financial issues result in sound decisions
  • Experience in construction or civil engineering or Telcos is welcome combined with commercial /budgetary managmeent experience
  • Project Manage in multi-geography environments
  • PMP or Prince 2 ; Lean Six Sigma experience, desired
  • Strong interpersonal & client service skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite applications (including PowerPoint, Excel & Word) – MS Access a plus
